I'd like an omelette and some biscuits right now.

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 9 August 2004 21:10 (twenty-one years ago)

I'd like you to have those right now.

dean? (deangulberry), Monday, 9 August 2004 21:12 (twenty-one years ago)

lauren (laurenp), Monday, 9 August 2004 23:03 (twenty-one years ago)

UK or US biscuits?

tokyo rosemary (rosemary), Monday, 9 August 2004 23:19 (twenty-one years ago)

US biscuits!

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 9 August 2004 23:19 (twenty-one years ago)

You can't have custard creams with an omelette, even if you're British!

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 9 August 2004 23:20 (twenty-one years ago)

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 9 August 2004 23:20 (twenty-one years ago)

ooh. custard creams. i could really go for some trashy british biscuits - jammy dodgers and tunnock's caramel wafers and the like. and maybe some mr. kipling treats as well - french fancies and mini battenburg cakes and jam tarts.

lauren (laurenp), Monday, 9 August 2004 23:22 (twenty-one years ago)

one year passes...
i don't have that much food at my house right now and i don't feel like leaving but i have some wegmans brand mac and cheese that i thought i'd never eat (i don't even know how i got it) and i REALLY want to EAT IT. but i don't have any milk or butter to make the cheese with. do u guys think it's ok to use just some olive oil (oh also it's extra virgin will that be weird)? i have a tiny bit of yogurt (whole milk, organic) so maybe i could use that and maybe some water or something? what will taste BEST?

THESE ARE THE RIGHT DIRECTIONS, JUST IN CASE

caitlin oh no (caitxa1), Thursday, 13 July 2006 03:01 (nineteen years ago)

caitlin, weg's store brand mac and cheese is awful. most of their store brand stuff is fine, but that stuff is terrible!

you'll probably be ok w/ olive oil. not sure about the yogurt thing. apparently yogurt is an accepted substitution for buttermilk, though. so you'll probably just end up with tangy mac and cheese?

tehresa, who will here remain anonymous (tehresa), Thursday, 13 July 2006 03:07 (nineteen years ago)

maybe the olive oil will help cut the acidity in the yogurt too.

tehresa, who will here remain anonymous (tehresa), Thursday, 13 July 2006 03:09 (nineteen years ago)

HMMM I MUST PICK ONE!

BUT NOT BOTH (X-POST ARE YOU SURE ABOUT BOTH? SOUNDS GROSS)

I ALSO HAVE THESE THINGS:
PEANUT BUTTER
MAPLE SYRUP
APPLESAUCE
VEGENAISE*

*WILL THIS ONE HELP?

caitlin oh no (caitxa1), Thursday, 13 July 2006 03:10 (nineteen years ago)

well usually you need milk and butter, so i was figuring olive oil would replace butter and yogurt would replace milk.

i don't know about vegenaise.

applesauce can be your backup for if whatever you use goes terribly wrong.

tehresa, who will here remain anonymous (tehresa), Thursday, 13 July 2006 03:13 (nineteen years ago)

peanut butter maple syrup applesauce sandwich xpost

sleep (sleep), Thursday, 13 July 2006 03:15 (nineteen years ago)

i could just make a soup out of these things:

olive oil
yogurt
sriracha
sauerkraut
vegenaise
peanut butter
maple syrup
applesauce
macaroni
dehydrated cheese

and some bread for dipping

caitlin oh no (caitxa1), Thursday, 13 July 2006 03:17 (nineteen years ago)

order a pizza

lf (lfam), Thursday, 13 July 2006 03:39 (nineteen years ago)

no need, the yogurt worked! the tiny bit of oo i added made it taste kinda weird and olivey but it's still pretty delicious

caitlin oh no (caitxa1), Thursday, 13 July 2006 03:43 (nineteen years ago)

i wish u guys could share this delicious dinner with me because i'm already pretty full and i've only eaten like a third of it :(

also there is a wegmans livejournal community and i think it is the new saddest thing on the internet

caitlin oh no (caitxa1), Thursday, 13 July 2006 03:50 (nineteen years ago)

my dinner was a morningstar farms veggie burger on a slice of whole wheat. and some emer'gen-c. yummo.

celebrity mole: hawaii (Jody Beth Rosen), Thursday, 13 July 2006 04:10 (nineteen years ago)

i wholeheartedly endorse the substitution of yogurt in the mac & cheese recipe, even when there is milk in the fridge.

I am having visions of gathering food from all establishments in walking distance (Chinese place, bakery/sandwich place, Indian buffet, McDonalds, Arby's, Roly Poly, grocery store deli, etc) and piling them all up on top of each other and going at it with a fork in each hand. WTF am I pregnant?

jaxon (jaxon), Wednesday, 20 September 2006 16:48 (nineteen years ago)

"sammich" is perfectly acceptable usage. the RI variant "sangwich" is not.

elmo argonaut (allocryptic), Wednesday, 20 September 2006 16:49 (nineteen years ago)

here's the exchange:
