To make another thing clear, Bear Vs. Shark does not fit into any less than a dozen genres. Paffi’s “yelling is just that, not screaming. The difference is in the tone and where he vocalizes from. Screaming comes from the back of the throat, yelling erupts from much deeper within. In other words, guttural, but not metal guttural. Instead, Paffi sings as if it came from so deep within that it would have to have the type of tremendous force seen in their live show to fully exert it.

nah, it was definitely Legend of Kage.

i also liked some karate game in the bowling alley (circa 1986? - ian, john, were you guys even alive?) where it was sorta like the Karate Kid fighting scenes and you had two joy sticks and you'd do combinations of circles and ups and downs and shit on them and it'd do bass ass moves and nut punches.

JAXON (jaxon), Thursday, 1 September 2005 22:58 (twenty years ago)

I TURNED TWO IN 1986.
BUT... KEEP IT ON THE DOWN BRO.

two years pass...

As amazing as he was, he was a difficult guy, and a bit of a racist, too. He spoke of not liking black or Jewish people. He asked me whether I was Jewish, and I said I was. He then wondered why this happened to him, why all his best friends happened to be Jewish and black. He seemed genuinely sad and confused by this unfortunate circumstance.

Though he spent a year with us, I gave him lots of privacy. Before he moved to Germany, it did become uncomfortable at times. It seemed that he felt entitled to grab hold of any woman he could. He told me: "I can't be prosecuted for rape because they can't do that to blind people."

Jaxon, the two joystick game you are speaking of is KARATE CHAMP.

Trip Maker, Friday, 25 January 2008 21:22 (eighteen years ago)

You could get through the first 4 or 5 matches with back flip, forward flip, forward flip, squatting lunge punch.

wanko ergo sum, Friday, 25 January 2008 22:10 (eighteen years ago)

did any one play BUDOKAN, for pc (and later genesis, i think)? it was like a martial arts sim, sorta, trying to be realistic.
