So has anyone else noticed an increased cop presence around McCarren of late? The last two nights I've seen kids run from the cops only to get caught RIGHT ON MY MOTHERFUCKING STOOP. And then this morning around the park I saw loads of vials/empty baggies, clearly from kids dumping their stashes (cutty go look behind the trash cans on bayard for serious). The real scary shit is that the other night I walk out on my stoop to smoke and a cop has some kid pressed up against the fence about five feet away, and then proceeds to PULL A GUN OFF OF HIM. Both of these 12-year-olds were fucking carrying. Unbelievable.

Also one of the cops told me that there have been several muggings on Bayard between Union and Lorimer in the past week. So steer clear of that construction area, yall. PEACE.

the people who work Cooper Park tell me they always find syringes on the the southeast corner at least 2-3 times a week. There are also police on foot walking around Kingsland a lot. One yelled at Franz for riding his bike on the sidewalk.
