I found a nice couch and oak table on the sidewalk last week, brought them into my apartment and cleaned them up. They're both really nice, but were too big for the space I had. So I rearranged the apartment, and now have enough seats for a party. Catch is: bedroom = living room.

At any rate, my friends are so damn cheap that a rent party would probably be more like a cell-phone-bill party.

i think i am about 2k right now. i am annoyed, though, because i am going to end up moving home for a while to straighten things out. my parents gave my sister's boyfriend a 2k (or so) loan to move to dc, but all i've wanted to do for 2 years is move to nyc and they won't help me at all. granted he had a job with the nat'l symphony, but i am their daughter! i generally don't want their money but in this case, i do not want to live in rochester and do not want to live in sc. i am fucked either way.

well everyone i know who wants to work in publishing works in publishing, so i guess there are jobs. every editor ive ever met has been a perky blonde or a gay. maybe try getting in via a lit agency. my pal worked in the william morris mailroom for a few months, then took a job at ICM as assistant to one of the biggest lit agents in new york. now he's meeting tons of people, or whatever. and he's white and straight. like you!!

I have two BS degrees in Engineering, yet am massively underemployed(despite interviewing right now). Currently making about 90-95% of my monthly bill amount, which is causing me to have occasional anxiety attacks/"episodes."
