now all we need is Ussachevsky & Luening on the Today Show, 1952, and the 1960 episode of 'I've Got A Secret' with John Cage and Zsa Zsa Gabor

it's funny, the whole time I'm thinking how you would never see anything like that on a talk show now. people used to be so trusting before the youths of america let them down

Wow so Zappa was a humorless pedant already at an early age

re: black napkins

It's a FZ's introduction to Ljubliana, Yugoslavia, 11-22-1975 song's performance. (Frank Zappa Plays The Music Of Frank Zappa)

"This is... this is an instrumental song, it's a tender, slow, moving ballad sort of song that cares with it the implied message that the complete woman must also have an asshole..."

i havent watched this yet but i'm guessing it's when he plays the guitar bike? thanx. i had this on a cassette recording of a WBAI zappa drive from when I was 16, heard it many times but never seen it.

episode of 'I've Got A Secret' with John Cage and Zsa Zsa Gabor

i saw this years ago at a john cage film fest @ anthology. it is very funny stuff. even funnier was a tv broadcast of him performing "radio music", except the teamsters demanded that only union electricians be allowed to turn the radios on. he ended up slapping their tops like drums.

"except the teamsters demanded that only union electricians be allowed to turn the radios on. he ended up slapping their tops like drums."

You have just blown my mind.
