the thing got stuck
i mean the part of the lens that comes out when you turn it on
it was tipped a little bit sideways. i got it to push back in but the lens is still not in the same horizontal position and the screen thing says "LENS ERROR" so i cannot take any pictures, not even crooked ones.

You could call places to see what repair prices might be!

mine used to say LENS ERROR every other time i turned it on. i had to push on the bit that comes out as i turned it on - there would be a click, and then it would be fine. but it wasn't crooked... i think that's a more serious problem!

mine was originally 900$ (bought it in like 98). now it sells on ebay for like $150-200 because it's so outdated. last halloween i was drunk and dropped it and it doesn't work anymore. you turn it on and the motor that tries to focus it just makes this really loud noise. it'd cost way more to fix it than it's even worth. and the cost of new (way smaller, way higher resolution) digital cameras makes it pointless to even try to fix.
