not really, smoking should be done first for thesis generation and outlining of your ideas and arguments. then write the paper cold sober. then snort a ritalin when it comes time to edit/proof the thing.

i did this in college with some limited success. but the girl who got me started ended up a rhodes scholar

I used to do this all the time. Stoned for the first, crazy draft. Edited sober the next morning. Did totally fine by it.

I brainstorm/take notes when stoned what the beats called "automatic writing" just let the ideas flow out in an unbroken stream like an unspooled jumbo roll of toilet paper and then in the cold clear light of sobreity or coffee organize & write actual finished paragraphs.

proofreading with a buzz = prescription for disaster in my exp.

can't do this anymore, i just end up masturbating or going out for ice cream or plain getting paranoid due to work ahead. puff when done - those be them VICTORY TOKES, nothing feels better.

also, I've never done a 'draft'. my shit is perfect out the kitchen and i add mistakes just to satisfy the protocol.
