This Saturday, July 15, Acapulco Dance Party hosts a live, in-studio bodywork session by Brooklyn's homeopathic electroacoustic duo Watersports. Fresh off a successful tour of the "dirty south" with Iovae, Lea Cho and Russ Waterhouse will perform a cleansing set of meditative pieces for synth, electronics, and percussion. Then, the pair will join Acapulco Rodriguez in the "control" room for a lively discussion of such topics as their forthcoming LPs on Black Velvet Fuckere and the health benefits of "aquatic massage," and then share of their favorite selections from the Wyndham Hill and ECM catalogs. All kidding aside, their new CD-R on Breaking World Records is a dream. These two produce some of the most exquisite sounds ever to come outta the NYC "noise" underground, and only a damn jackass would miss this set. Investigate their gentle touch and highly refined ears at http://whitetapes.8m.com/watersports.html
