Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas to Host BroStock 2006; Wakeboarding Expo Event Will Be Held June 9-10, 2006

PAGE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 15, 2006--Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas today announced it will be hosting a two-day Wakeboarding Expo beginning June 9 and ending on June 10, 2006.

BroStock 2006 is sponsored by Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas, Liquid Force and Alliance Wakeboard and will feature some of the industry's most well-known wakeboarding professionals, newest products and exhibitions. The event is taking place at Lake Powell, located in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, on the border of Utah and Arizona.

"Lake Powell's red rock canyons, emerald-blue water and pristine sandy beaches make it a one-of-a-kind, if not the ultimate, wakeboarding destination, and we are thrilled to host the first-ever BroStock Wakeboarding Expo," said Dan Resmondo, district manager for Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas.

Wakeboarding stars including Kevin Henshaw, Amber Wing, Tino Santori, Stephen Shasta and Collin Harrington will be signing autographs on Friday, June 9, 2006. Other well-known wakeboarders such as Shane Bonifay, Shawn Watson, Aaron Reed, and Melissa Marquardt will be signing autographs for fans on Saturday, June 10, 2006. Additional celebrity wakeboarders including Stef Tor, Silas Thurman, Mike Ennen and Phillip Basino will also be attending the event.

Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas is offering BroStock specials including a one-day rental fee of $325 for a 20-foot Baja powerboat OR a $295 rental fee per day for a minimum of two days for a 20-foot Baja powerboat. Other specials include a 19-foot powerboat for $230 per day. For lodging, standard rooms at Lake Powell Resort are available for $99 per night. A Liquid Force houseboat package is also available for five days/four nights aboard a 54' Adventurer houseboat and includes a personal watercraft (PWC) for $3,800.

Food and beverage concessions are available via a designated houseboat as well as hourly water shuttle service to the area where BroStock will be held. The cost for the shuttle is $15 per person for the round trip. Additionally, designated houseboats will provide public lavatory access.
