moonship journey to baja, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:14 (seventeen years ago)

it's all downhill from 12 for this guy

El Tomboto, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:37 (seventeen years ago)

peaked in middle school

latebloomer, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:39 (seventeen years ago)

god damn!

gff, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:41 (seventeen years ago)

I'm putting the over-under on lifetime spouses for this poor guy at five

El Tomboto, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:41 (seventeen years ago)

but betting under because I'm thinking he'll probably Tom Brady it

El Tomboto, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:42 (seventeen years ago)

wtf haters!! kid is livin tha dream

gff, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:43 (seventeen years ago)

what hate?

El Tomboto, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:44 (seventeen years ago)

I mean I would hate having that lifestyle at 12. As much of a disappointment that adulthood is for a normal person, think what he's going to feel like

El Tomboto, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:45 (seventeen years ago)

haha yeah ok

gff, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:45 (seventeen years ago)

Keep in mind this is New York magazine

Catsupppppppppppppp dude 茄蕃, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:45 (seventeen years ago)

so this is like the andy milinokas dude?

johnny crunch, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:47 (seventeen years ago)

i think it's true that if you get yourself out of the house and don't give a fuck and talk to all kinds of people, you can have a pretty interesting life. it helps if you're crazy pampered and live in nyc.

gff, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:49 (seventeen years ago)

there is no way this child exists

max, Thursday, 13 December 2007 23:10 (seventeen years ago)

you sound like an evil emperor just informed of his prophesied downfall

El Tomboto, Thursday, 13 December 2007 23:43 (seventeen years ago)

There is NO WAY this CHILD ... EXISTS

El Tomboto, Thursday, 13 December 2007 23:46 (seventeen years ago)

Your dark magic can't save you now max

El Tomboto, Thursday, 13 December 2007 23:47 (seventeen years ago)

I'm glad that rent stabilized apartments are allowing working and middle class new yorkers to not only get by in the hard times, but also allow them to spend weeks in east hampton and at the ritz-carlton south beach.

with nyc real estate consciousness being what it is, i'm surprised that it took 4 pages of angry comments before someone mentioned this.

lauren, Thursday, 13 December 2007 23:51 (seventeen years ago)

i have a mirror that answers... certain questions... and it has... informed me... that this... child... does not... cannot... exist.

max, Friday, 14 December 2007 00:00 (seventeen years ago)

young prop joe

hstencil, Friday, 14 December 2007 00:03 (seventeen years ago)

Richard credits Nolita for Alex’s development. “Look around,” he says. “Look at what and who Alex has at his disposal.” This is why Robin has worked to help keep the corporate intruders out of their neighborhood, at least as much as possible.

Except for NikeID, cuz they hook the kid up.

milo z, Friday, 14 December 2007 00:43 (seventeen years ago)

i wish i had people for disposal

remy bean, Friday, 14 December 2007 02:37 (seventeen years ago)

fuck that fucking kid

i would pay hard cash to watch a New Yorker roundtable involving him, Julian Schnabel's kids, Andy Milonakis, and Perpetua.

sanskrit, Friday, 14 December 2007 03:26 (seventeen years ago)

“Alex is competition for D.J. Clark Kent,” Robin says. “All the attention Alex gets, that’s attention D.J. Clark Kent isn’t getting.”
WHADDA bitch

Heave Ho, Friday, 14 December 2007 03:43 (seventeen years ago)

While Alex does have friends his own age, like Julian Schnabel’s twin boys, Cy and Olmo, he can be a bit of a schoolyard bully.

the really fucked up part is that i posted the above AND HADN'T EVEN READ THAT FAR

sanskrit, Friday, 14 December 2007 04:18 (seventeen years ago)

i bet this kid is a total brat.

ian, Friday, 14 December 2007 04:21 (seventeen years ago)

i bet that article is some hyper-embellished bullshit.

m coleman, Friday, 14 December 2007 11:01 (seventeen years ago)

my kid and his friends are so different than this, immature and over-protected I guess. but I see kids like this running around, little yuppies-in-training. at first I thought that picture was somebody in my building...

m coleman, Friday, 14 December 2007 11:06 (seventeen years ago)

I'm more a fan of the middle/high school kids going to Bedford to hang out on the weekend

Catsupppppppppppppp dude 茄蕃, Friday, 14 December 2007 12:22 (seventeen years ago)

Also, this might be the most New York mag article of all time, like every aspect of why they think this kid is cool is douchy and corporate

Catsupppppppppppppp dude 茄蕃, Friday, 14 December 2007 12:23 (seventeen years ago)

hey, he was really able to bond with and impress the cool people that work at the cool stores

mh, Friday, 14 December 2007 16:01 (seventeen years ago)

after reading thru to the end of this article and some quiet reflection, yes, there is no way this child exists

gff, Friday, 14 December 2007 16:34 (seventeen years ago)

you guys are just jealous - like dj clark kent

moonship journey to baja, Friday, 14 December 2007 16:44 (seventeen years ago)

you know, it IS his neighborhood. everyone knew me in my neighborhood growing up. and sometimes my neighbors would give me free stuff. and sometimes i would steal from them. and sometimes i annoyed them and they wanted me to go away. in some ways, you could say this article is "quaint". at least he's interacting with people. but, yeah, he will probably grow up to be a wheeler dealer. just like so many young new york machers and mahoffs before him.

scott seward, Friday, 14 December 2007 17:19 (seventeen years ago)

*round of applause*
