Maybe I'm being too hard on it. The story itself is very cute. But it's too sloppy to be a Steve Reich record or a hatHUT record, isn't it?

Does anyone have the Ilk albums? Wickham-Smith's one man prog band albums? I have the first one but haven't listened to it in a really long time.

actually what it reminds me most of is a less-fussy nobukazu-takemura-doing-steve-reich which is why i really like it ... also i'll never ever ever be able to find a copy of milano/finale (fuck mp3s) and this sort of distills the milano/finale experience down to 45 minutes anyway.
