Um, yeah, that's why the references were to activities requiring involvement. Now please stop pretending that voting is itself a noble, meaningful act. Not to retread ye political threads of 2004, but voting is the absolute least amount of effort you can put into political activity short of staying home. On a scale of 1-10 in activity and involvement, voting is .3.

Plz to stop patting self on back, Mr. Voter Man.

Any given hour of volunteer work that Scott (or anyone else) has ever done outweighs a lifetime of voting.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horse_meat

Horse meat has about 40% less calories than even the leanest beef, while supplying 50% more protein and up to 30% more iron. No instances of mad cow in horse.

Canada and Mexico, our wacky neighbors to the north and south, eat lots of horse...

...as do Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Chile, China, France, Germany, Iceland, Kakakhstan (no shit!), Mongolia, The Netherlands, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

The consumption of horse is taboo in primarily English speaking countries.

also why did you choose the phrase '30 packs'? i'm curious to what wheels turned when that 'fell out of your ass', also what wheels turned when you decided on the phrase 'falling out of your ass', also why you felt the need to deploy sexual imagery 3 times in your 'zinger' - "i need to know!" i'm also curious as to what drives you and morbius to continue posting here - i can't imagine it's 'i like the conversation' and god knows it's not 'i like the folx there and they like me' cuz i'd guess neither of you could find five threads either of you posted on more than four times that didn't eventually feature the majority of the posters on said thread calling you douchebags, i could be wrong i don't know. who do you like here? who likes you? name names - "i need to know!" i'm curious in what drives a man to post on a messageboard filled with people he doesn't like that like him even less. i don't think it's trolling but i can't figure out exactly what it is. not trying to 'zing' you here (i'd've accused you of shooting zesty ones out of your cock or buying 27 packs of stroh's or something - hit em up oops style), sincerely interested (perhaps, yes, if only to answer why do I continue posting here?). i'd ask others why they bother to engage morbius or oops but i've been there so i sorta understand the impulse.

I left the movie having laughed a lot, but not having sighed with whimsical recognition as much as I think the main character would have wanted me to. I left with the feeling that I wouldn't want to spend five minutes around this insanely self-involved dude. What a perfectly intolerable "creative" type.

But the movie never tries to deny that Stephan is insufferable. He's bloody creepy, and the love interest Stephanie tells him so (after he breaks into her apartment!), along with a lot of other good advice, like that he needs to develop a thicker skin. The movie indulges in the childishness of its subject, but it does not ever condone it.

I once knew people like Stephan. I don't anymore. I wonder if they're still out there making insane asses of themselves and completely failing to connect to other people.

one year passes...

the music itself is both gross and wretched, there's nothing to it except a trite suggestion of downbeat elegance set to absurdly lazy songwriting. it is absolutely empty and the frontman is truly odious, just the sleaziest oiliest fuck in music history, he might be worse than kiedis

More and more, I feel like a medieval peasant. The rulers are gonna do what they're gonna do, and the people in charge of telling us about that are mostly cheering them on (in a "can't argue with success!" sort of way), so fuck "the news." I'd rather spend my money on music, books and movies, and if I'm "uninformed," so be it. I don't feel like I'm missing much.
