perhaps he will get a column in one of the free weeklys, about the difficulties of raising his new baby in a world that sees babies as novelties. we could hear about the wacky and wonderful other parents at the bourgeois kindergarten and how none of them have real jobs. he could perhaps denigrate them a little, be the spikey one in his social circle, after all, someones gotta tell it like it is right?

he could maybe spin this into an autobiographical second career, one that supplements his real income. he could combine it with writing about how he hates writing, and why do people do this stuff, apart from him of course, who also has a real job, fixing computers! he could write about how occasionaly he comes across other people who have real jobs, and how they laugh together at the guys with blogs who write articles who are very different from them
