I had a hot dog for breakfast today! It's bound to be healthier than those packaged donuts covered in powdered sugar.

my aunt told me today that donuts are just about the most unhealthy thing you can eat. :(((

Laurel (Laurel), Thursday, 4 January 2007 02:02 (eighteen years ago)

Oh lordy, I had the chix sausage with garlic mashed potatoes left over from business lunch today and some white $3 Chuck left over from roommate's NYE and it was perfect. Lunch tomorrow = same minus wine. ;__;

Laurel (Laurel), Thursday, 4 January 2007 02:58 (eighteen years ago)

CROWS don't FLY in STRAIGHT LINES (orion), Thursday, 4 January 2007 03:15 (eighteen years ago)

i had a hot dog one day last week. it was a bit disappointing and overpriced (fuck a midtown lunch break!).

zombierza (tehresa), Thursday, 4 January 2007 03:16 (eighteen years ago)

Every week, Ian? Or just this one, to start the year off right?

Laurel (Laurel), Thursday, 4 January 2007 03:17 (eighteen years ago)

bb (bbrz), Thursday, 4 January 2007 20:30 (eighteen years ago)

Jordan (Jordan), Thursday, 4 January 2007 20:35 (eighteen years ago)

cousin larry bundgee (bundgee), Thursday, 4 January 2007 20:35 (eighteen years ago)

I REALLY WANT A PERRO CALIENTE

hstencil (hstencil), Thursday, 4 January 2007 20:40 (eighteen years ago)

In Argentina and Uruguay Pancho denominates itself, and is common to decorate it with ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise or Picantina.

In Chile it changes of name according to the combination of dressings, although traditionally the complete denomination becomes general:
- Complete: tomato, palta, chucrut, and mayonnaise.
- Italian: palta, tomato and mayonnaise,
- Dynamic: palta, American sauce, green sauce, tomato and mayonnaise.
- Farmer: poroto green, green red pepper, tomato and mayonnaise.
- Ace: meat with dressing.

In Mexico, it is prepared surrounding the sausage with bacon in strips, so that a plate or frying pan is fried at the same time in. The fried bacon becomes hardened and it adheres to the sausage, so that it is easy to place everything in the bread, also adds tomato pricked with onion and cracks to him of Chile jalapeño. To him usually one accompanies type yet by dressing.

In Colombia, it is possible even to be added to fragmentation hand grenade, rallado cheese, chipses bites, bacon, jamón, pechuga to him of crumbled chicken and quail eggs.

In Venezuela he is typical to accompany it with chipses perforated in the interior, in addition to carrot, repollo and cheese all of them rallados, also it takes typical sauces of dressing of ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard; also usually one adds sauce of garlic or guasacaca, according to the pleasure.

TOO WEAK FOR HOT DOGS. STILL...MY LONGING IS LIKE THE HOT DESERT SUN, EVERPRESENT, SCALDING IN ITS INTENSITY.

Jessie the Monster (scarymonsterrr), Thursday, 4 January 2007 23:24 (eighteen years ago)

I had some Tony's (The Original Hot Dog King[TM]) dogs when I was in Norfolk last week. So delicious. When he was alive, dude refused to serve ketchup on 'em. His heirs are holding it down just that way.

A Radio Picture (Rrrickey), Friday, 5 January 2007 02:42 (eighteen years ago)

but what goes on them instead?

sauerkraut and brown mustard.

FINALLY, VICTOLY!!!

Jessie the Monster (scarymonsterrr), Friday, 5 January 2007 22:22 (eighteen years ago)

a hot dog is perhaps the one thing that ketchup doesn't belong on.

lauren (laurenp), Friday, 5 January 2007 22:29 (eighteen years ago)

that, and corned beef.

lauren (laurenp), Friday, 5 January 2007 22:29 (eighteen years ago)

KETCHUP BELONGS ON EVERYTHING.

Jessie the Monster (scarymonsterrr), Friday, 5 January 2007 22:30 (eighteen years ago)

Mmm I like ketchup and sharp yellow cheddar on hot dogs. But then, I'm not a sauerkraut or onion kind of person, which I think are two of the usual best hot dog options.

Laurel (Laurel), Friday, 5 January 2007 22:30 (eighteen years ago)

I LIKE CHILI DOGS. but no beans.

Jessie the Monster (scarymonsterrr), Friday, 5 January 2007 22:31 (eighteen years ago)

also taylor ham. ketchup has no place on taylor ham. other than that, i think it should be everywhere.

lauren (laurenp), Friday, 5 January 2007 22:31 (eighteen years ago)

i put srihacha on my tofu dogs, peeps.

hstencil (hstencil), Friday, 5 January 2007 22:34 (eighteen years ago)

Hot dogs with chili and cheese and slaw, motherfuckers. That is what I am eating in approximately 6 minutes.

i thought this said CHEESE SLAW and my mind was kinda blown with the possibilities of what that would entail!

zombierza (tehresa), Saturday, 6 January 2007 01:03 (eighteen years ago)

cheese and slaw, together, i'd guess

underwater ghost ship picture (skowly), Saturday, 6 January 2007 01:07 (eighteen years ago)

i was thinking a slaw made of different shredded cheeses....

zombierza (tehresa), Saturday, 6 January 2007 01:10 (eighteen years ago)

that'd be slawesome

cousin larry bundgee (bundgee), Saturday, 6 January 2007 01:12 (eighteen years ago)

What, held together with salad dressing/mayonnaise? That's kind of gross.

Laurel (Laurel), Saturday, 6 January 2007 01:14 (eighteen years ago)

see: pimento cheese spread... it's actually good if you limit the mayo. i'd be up for other bonding agents, though!

zombierza (tehresa), Saturday, 6 January 2007 01:21 (eighteen years ago)

i am painfully hungry right now and really want hot dogs or pub food or something but am pretty sure the people i'm with might not be into that. oh man now i want poutine.

rrrobyn, breeze blown meadow of cheeriness (rrrobyn), Saturday, 6 January 2007 01:25 (eighteen years ago)

Stop hanging out with healthy vegans, Robyn. A body needs dumplings and hot dogs and POUTINE. Shit, now I'm hungry.

Laurel (Laurel), Saturday, 6 January 2007 01:31 (eighteen years ago)

haha! it's true though - sometimes i am healthy vegan myself and sometimes i am all about the straight-up hotdogs in white bun with ketchup and also the poutine, but this awesome thing has happened where a lot of my friends are also healthy vegan sometimes but require fries and processed meat at times as well. i think the universe is finally beginning to align for me.

rrrobyn, breeze blown meadow of cheeriness (rrrobyn), Saturday, 6 January 2007 01:36 (eighteen years ago)

oh they totally just agreed to frites alors (hamburger/fries place close by)

rrrobyn, breeze blown meadow of cheeriness (rrrobyn), Saturday, 6 January 2007 01:39 (eighteen years ago)

Laurel (Laurel), Saturday, 6 January 2007 01:40 (eighteen years ago)

and i love it back!

rrrobyn, breeze blown meadow of cheeriness (rrrobyn), Saturday, 6 January 2007 01:41 (eighteen years ago)

ketchup is only for french fries and tater tots and NOTHING ELSE you fucking heathens. are you all 6 years old?

be home by 11 (orion), Saturday, 6 January 2007 03:08 (eighteen years ago)

You forgot cheeseburgers.

Laurel (Laurel), Saturday, 6 January 2007 03:23 (eighteen years ago)

ketchup is also good on hash browns

Jessie the Monster (scarymonsterrr), Saturday, 6 January 2007 03:27 (eighteen years ago)

hamburger with bacon and mushrooms and lettuce and tomato on it
fries with ketchup and curry lmaonnaise
so good
so full

rrrobyn, breeze blown meadow of cheeriness (rrrobyn), Saturday, 6 January 2007 04:37 (eighteen years ago)

i have this feeling that canadian ketchup is different than american ketchup (less sweet?)
i have it around solely for breakfast sausages, fried-egg sandwiches and homemade hashbrowns/fries. takes forever to get through a bottle. yes, i like it on certain things. no, i am not 6.

rrrobyn, breeze blown meadow of cheeriness (rrrobyn), Saturday, 6 January 2007 04:43 (eighteen years ago)

ketcup is not good on cheeseburgers :\

that is v true

rrrobyn, breeze blown meadow of cheeriness (rrrobyn), Saturday, 6 January 2007 05:04 (eighteen years ago)

No, no, I don't like the sweet and savory so closely mixed, I prefer a palate-cleansing bite of fried egg in between. No syrup on sausages, either!

Laurel (Laurel), Saturday, 6 January 2007 05:31 (eighteen years ago)

I'm with Laurel. Although in all honestly I can skip sweet stuff at breakfast all together.

Jessie the Monster (scarymonsterrr), Saturday, 6 January 2007 05:32 (eighteen years ago)
