it attaches the mp3 to a text message and sends it to your phone number. technically i think it's a picture msg, so you have to know the data limits for those both of your carrier and your phone, and crop/de-res your mp3 clips so they're small enough. IF your phone plays mp3s and IF it allows you to save items out of msgs, then you can use it as a ringtone. other kinds of audio file might work, but my phone (verizon motorola e815) does all this fine.

anyway. good cell phone story:

walk on to train the other day and this dude appears to be having a really animated conversation on a cell phone and i wonder how he is getting reception. turns out to be a LIGHTER that he's talking to, but he really made it sound like someone was responding and saying things to him, and then suddenly he's like 'hold on' and switches to another 'call' and is like 'hay b was up?' and talks to him for a while and then just started rapping. it was... amazing. also, he smelled kinda funny.
