DENISE DUHAMEL:
The Man Wwith the Short Penis

His two wives never mentioned it, because, other than that,
he was a nice husband. He hunted big caribou
and told good stories. He let them sleep near him,
where it was warm. But one day when they were curing the meat
while their fired husband rested, one said to the other,
"Do you love your husband?"
"Yes," she answered, "Do you?"
They nudged each other and went to the husband's bed.
They took off his blanket, then his pants.
They meant to arouse him but instead they burst out laughing
at his tiny flaccid penis which was barely even there.
That woke up the husband. And though the wives wouldn't tell
why they were laughing, the husband guessed. He asked them to make a fire
and when they did, he poured oil all over it.
He threw them in one by one, then jumped in himself,
his shame that big, his penis that small.

jeremy you've gotta be younger than me and i have no idea what i'm doing with my life so yr still ahead of the game here

acid waffle house (dubplatestyle), Tuesday, 16 January 2007 19:50 (eighteen years ago)

remy you're still in L.A., right? if there's any place to be where no one knows wtf they're doing in the future, this is it.

‘•’u (gear), Tuesday, 16 January 2007 20:02 (eighteen years ago)

i mean i'm gonna be 29 in a little more than a month and i'm planning on moving and starting over completely AGAIN for approximately the 12 or 13th time in 10 years.

acid waffle house (dubplatestyle), Tuesday, 16 January 2007 20:05 (eighteen years ago)

yeah, still in LA. Mostly this is inspired by adopting a dog, and wondering if she'll be an impediment later on. Then wondering ... and impediment to what?

indian rope trick (bean), Tuesday, 16 January 2007 20:08 (eighteen years ago)

(I live in Culver City now, btw)

indian rope trick (bean), Tuesday, 16 January 2007 20:08 (eighteen years ago)

i know people probably twenty years older than you who are doing okay even though they started over out here in their late thirties. i understand all this, though, i've been there myself.

‘•’u (gear), Tuesday, 16 January 2007 20:11 (eighteen years ago)

Sony Pictures and Tito's Tacos... good times.

Steve Shasta (Steve Shasta), Wednesday, 17 January 2007 01:32 (eighteen years ago)

mmmmm. titos. it's fucking weird how culver shitty has changed in the past few years. tons of amazing galleries, all those rad restaurants. has anyone been to harrison ford's son's place? i forget the name of it or the type of place it's supposed to be (expensive food w/a relaxed environment). but CC is still an ugly place with shitty looking houses and that strip of sepulveda near big 5 can go die.

jaxon (jaxon), Wednesday, 17 January 2007 01:36 (eighteen years ago)

what's harrison ford's son's place? last i heard he had a place in beverly hills that sounded ideologically right, if not necessarily consistent/very good, but then he got busted for pot or something?

gabbneb (gabbneb), Wednesday, 17 January 2007 01:54 (eighteen years ago)

Ford's Filling Station. a "gastropub". actually not the greatest reviews, so i dunno.

jaxon (jaxon), Wednesday, 17 January 2007 02:08 (eighteen years ago)

i think "amazing" and "rad" might be overdoing it a bit

cousin larry bundgee (bundgee), Wednesday, 17 January 2007 02:11 (eighteen years ago)

BLK/MKT is "amazing" and http://www.tendergreensfood.com/ is "rad". i spent an afternoon there and saw a few more galleries, most of which were pretty good. also, not a huge fan, but my friends love the Museum of Jurassic Technology.

jaxon (jaxon), Wednesday, 17 January 2007 02:13 (eighteen years ago)

culver city = close. i've ridden their bus out to lax a few times. i like to sit by the window where the big cursive 'c' comes up. it runs along sepulveda the whole way, and yeah it is pretty ugly, but it's a cool ride, lots of good people watching.

remy we should drink again some time. and jbr. and anyone. in culver city. near titos tacos, bcz that sounds goooood.

i also don't know wtf i'm doing. the problem is i'm starting to not care.

mattp (fauxhemian), Wednesday, 17 January 2007 02:27 (eighteen years ago)

i've been to ford's filling station! it was pretty average.

m@p (plosive), Wednesday, 17 January 2007 02:29 (eighteen years ago)

David Choe is amazing.

cousin larry bundgee (bundgee), Wednesday, 17 January 2007 02:34 (eighteen years ago)

Fords Filling Station is pretty much the most overrated thing in all of Culver City. However, its expensive and new so all the nu yuppies who moved in the area are all about it.

Other highspots:
S&W Diner for breakfast if you can stand the 50 minute wait on the weekends, homemade corned beef hash is the best hash in the world

tokyo 7-7: cheap breakfast in an alley next to a parking garage

metro diner: serbian restaurant masquerading as a shitty diner in a travelodge across the street from

cozy inn: since the backstage got all fratty and shitty its the premier dive bar in town. shuffleboard!

i read about Ford's in some magazine and it had a good review. glad to see all the negative press so i don't waste money there.

haha. i grew up in westchester. it fucking sux. but paco's is epic. also soundsations. best worst record store ever. the dudes there are super nice, but have no idea what good music is (even though they've been running the store for 15 yrs) so you always find really cheap amazing stuff. ($2 OOIOO cd)
