was emailed today:
"the most bizarre thing just happened. [MOM BFRIEND] looks out the window and sees 3 cop cars in back of my house, walking around his car and pointing. suddenly, more cop cars start driving up from different directions and a police helicopter flies overhead. within a minute, 15 police cars are surrounding MY house and cops are walking around everywhere with walkie talkies. so [MOM BFRIEND] opens the front door and says "Officer, what's going on?" and instantly, 30 cops point cocked guns - two AUTOMATIC WEAPONS - straight at him and yell at him to drop to the ground!! Needless to say, he does. Finally, one cop walks over and tells him to get up. Apparently, there was a bank robbery in our area and the getaway car fit the description of [MOM BFRIEND]'s car. When they realized he wasn't the robber, they acted all nice and patted him on the back, etc., but there were cop cars still here until just a few minutes ago.

p.s. there's still an FBI agent in my driveway as I write this"

this reminds me of our swat team in bushwick!

incidentally, i had a dream the other night about police helicopters flying around my house and shooting machine guns at some dude who had at some point been in or around our apt and cops were all over the place. i mentioned to roommate(?) i think (who is a girl i know) that i wondered if we should move and she was like, 'no this apt is in the greatest location ever!'.

one time i brought home a helium filled mylar balloon for the missus. we turned on the alarm with motion sensor when we went to work. she accidentally left the heater on which turned on the fan which blew the balloon around which set off the alarm. i came home and cops were there. just to be sure, they opened all the bathrooms and closets with guns pointed inwards. it was rad.

ooh that happened soooo frequently when i worked at evil security company. usually it was with business who had hanging displays or balloons or whatever in front of the heating/cooling vents and would call in to say their sensor was falsing. a tech would go out and tell them to move/take down the display, they wouldn't, and then they'd call back a week later bitching that the sensor was still broken and the tech didn't do anything. it was like 'uh no dudes, that means the motion sensor is working!'

similar thing happened to some friends in college. when the cops showed up they found a house full of completely wasted students celebrating the end of their college careers...poor cops had to question them all. i was glad they didnt come and see me (as i lived across the intersection from the robbed bank, but had been sitting about getting real stoned and listening to her satanic magesties request all morning).
