I'm biased, but her being straight up with the shrink right from the get-go may be about as close to a godsend as you can expect at this point.

I made my mistake and it hurt worse than I ever want to admit, but I somehow (sheer luck perhaps) maintained for the 11 months or so that it took to get back into life again. Last Saturday I was the cohost of a big housewarming slash engagement party. It ain't over till etc.
