Isn't there supposedly a lot of noise dude culture in the Cities? End times festival and stuff? I don't know because (good thing banning is less likely on nu-ILX ANDSFBPB) I don't really listen to it as far as I know, other than that one awesome Boredoms trance side project that some cool guy posted on the leonardo thread, which probably doesn't even count.

seriously fuck this code:

Matthew St. Germain (he posted on ILX a couple times) practically invented noize dude culture.

Matt St-Germain
From Minnewiki

Matt St-Germain is a Minneapolis-based promoter and musician who runs the underground record label Freedom From. He is best known for appearing on the cover of the City Pages in a 2001 feature "The Provocateur (http://www.citypages.com/detail.asp?ArticleID=10028)" (so titled due to St-Germain's reputation for immature antics and frequent instigation of arguments with his peers), and for winning a "Best New Artist" award from the Minnesota Music Academy in 2002 (the ceremony for which he arrived late and wearing an eye patch). As a promoter, he has booked dozens of underground music shows in various Twin Cities venues including Big V's, the 7th Street Entry, The Church, the Kitty Cat Klub and in 2003 the highly-promoted Destijl Festival at the Fine Line Music Cafe. As a musician, St-Germain's projects have included the ambient/experimental late, the farcical pro-Republican hardcore band Ashcroft, guest appearances with the noise act Cock E.S.P. and his current drone ensemble Diamonds.

RURAL MN - EVEN MORE NOIZE.

Matthew St-Germain is a really cool dude IRL, BTW.

Also, I believe we brought the world the mystery known as "ghost rider" now that I think about it.
