i don't go to them too often but today i went after yoga so was a bit weeeoooaah and able to browse a couple aisles w/o being overwhelmed. there is some weird stuff, esp in the 'personal care' section.

i hate fake dollar stores, where the stuff is not always $1 and there are more expensive things. latebloomer will understand - remember as a kid getting really excited about wilsons 5¢-$1 store and then finding out half the shit in there, while still crap, was like, $5 or more?

true story: my friend once found out she was knocked up from a dollar store pregnancy test. i don't know if the one she bought was next to the apricots, though...

i buy all my cleaning supplies at the 99¢ store! it's right on the way home! it's weird how everywhere else i've lived has called it 'dollar store' or some variation including the word 'dollar' but here everything is a 99¢ store.

i preferred this place to dollar store, i would go there & feel bummed about being broke grad student buying $1 pasta and sauce and then realize the 15 cent packs of ramen were cleaned out, so.. things could be worse
