i AM planning to go to the park later, to read. i don't know about napping, though. i will nap in my cozy bed after the park. i was just at the supermarket and everyone was in such a good mood. also, laurel, have you ever noticed that there is a perpetually-closed storefront on washington with an awning that says "CHILDREN OF THE MOST: A DIVISION OF YAHWEH, INC."? It has been puzzling me for a few months now.

These are actually generic supermarket hot dogs, griddled to perfection in a skillet on my stovetop. nathan's were on sale at the c-town. i had one with dijon mustard and one with sriracha and bbq sauce.

also, this is MORALLY WRONG i suppose, but i can say with confidence that some of the best times that i have ever had in life have involved drinking in the afternoon on top of sleep deprivation (and sometimes a hangover). for whatever reason, it does something sublime to my brain chemistry.

i guess it's messed-up, but i really, genuinely enjoy drinking in ways that violate all of our cultural codes surrounding alcohol-- i.e., alone, early in the day, on an empty stomach, etc.

in other contexts drinking just seems boring sometimes. i need to plan out a life where i can be this weird sort of semi-alcoholic. probably i should hit the professional putt-putt golf circuit. somehow, i think that would work. plus there'd eventually be a will ferrell movie made about my life.
