well, i was too drunk to find the bus stop 2 years ago. Had a lovely walk back to Market St.

i rode the 22 fillmore! but not to potrero hill. i think i might want to live in fillmore if i lived in sf proper.

obv I'll hit MoMA (and the Chaat Cafe nearby?) and the Crumb show at Yerba Buena.

chaat cafe is sorta fast food indian. i don't know anyone who's specifically gone there unless they lived or worked on that block

there are not too many places to eat around MoMA.

it's true, but i'd go to Specialties a hundred times before i'd go to chaat (unless you're going on the weekend when it's closed). even go across Market to the neiman marcus cafe and get a great sandwich and peanut butter/jelly cookie (jelly's on the inside, soooo good). or go to 5th and mission to the new mall's food court. tons of good stuff down there (Asqew Grill, mmmm).

I am going to be on my honeymoon from June 4 - 10. SO SO SO SORRY our paths won't cross Dr. Morbz.

Okay, I'mma break it down for ya:

Yancy's: huge TV (w/ sound), casual neighborhood bar, not so central
The Page: two little TVs (maybe w/ sound?), casual neighborhood bar, central
Toronado: incredible beer selection, one little TV, no sound (except for blaring scuzz rock jukebox), kinda edgy crowd at times, central

ok. So there are no huge TVs closer to the Cafe du Nord/Henry St area?

(ie, Uncle Bert's just changed its name, it's still a sports bar. but I understand if you wanna pass, I don't esp like the Castro)

Well when I say "not central", I mean like an extra 10 minutes/$1.50 to get there.

The other 2 places are within a 10-15 minute casual walk. Mad Dog In The Fog is Alex's other suggestion, they have a big TV and are located directly across from Toronado.

I say we meet at Toronado, if it sucks we go across the street and persuade the Mad Dog folks to put the Giants game on.

PS: I don't think Alex and M.White and Shakey read the noize board.

$2.50 pints from 11am-6pm is probably the best deal in the city outside of the anchor brewery tour.

I think there are two TVs at Toronado (one in the main bar and one in the adjoining room.) A plus with Toronado's is the Rosamunds obv.

As I said on the other thread, whatever bar get's decided on is cool with me.

Alex I am definitely planning (cheaper walk-up seats) on whichever day Santana pitches, but I think it will be Sunday cuz the Twins are off on Thursday and they have been pitching JS every 5th GAME, not every 5th day. (For similar reasons, Josh Beckett may start Monday night vs the A's.)

Probably. I usually don't buy food there. Worst stadium to get a decent cup of coffee possibly ever.
