max: the latter. the money is yours to spend as you choose, though you must purchase an item from each category. e.g. 40s cost under $2, leaving $8 for tacos. Tacos do not (last I checked) cost one dollar; they cost like 69 cents. 800/69 ~= 12 tacos (+ any extras bought with 40s change).

i know i can drink 80 ounces of beer in under an hour, i think i would be a dark horse in this.

i used to be able to drink 3 40s with no ill effects (save for acting like a complete asshole), but i think those days are long gone.

mel and i once played a winter olympics drinking game that involved 40s of OE and having a drink every time something homoerotic happened. what killed us was the men's speed skating relay which involved touching the other guy's butt instead of passing off a baton. i think there was some ice dancing later too but it's all kind of a blur.

i haven't had malt liquor in YEARS though.
