i used to be convinced i would randomly meet george harrison one day, i had a strong extra-sensory perception about it, but i never did, it turned out i was just a drunk girl who thought she was psychic.

why hasn't anyone had the brass balls to name their band the beetles?

Edward III, Wednesday, 20 June 2007 03:15 (eighteen years ago)

I knew some guys who named their band needledrop, but when they told me I thought they had said beatledrop and I thought that was the coolest band name ever. so needledrop ended up being kind of a letdown.

Edward III, Wednesday, 20 June 2007 03:17 (eighteen years ago)

BEATLEDROP

if the apple lawyers ask, it's pronounced bee-at-luhd-rop

Edward III, Wednesday, 20 June 2007 03:20 (eighteen years ago)

all the random Indian dudes who played on "The Inner Light"

Stormy Davis, Wednesday, 20 June 2007 03:26 (eighteen years ago)

when lennon got killed everybody and their auntie wrote sombre obits mourning the death of the 60s etc except for martin amis did this hilarious one in a brtishes newspaper where he told about his friend barry who resembled john lennon and how they'd use this similarity to score w/chicks -- barry would say he was john, while martin would serve as john's distant cousin and pick up the slack. of course this ploy stopped working in the yoko/solo/lost weekend period. "in the 60s barry was john lennon but in the 70s john lennon became barry..."

"barry" for best beatle.

m coleman, Wednesday, 20 June 2007 10:22 (eighteen years ago)

think about how sexy the Beatles could have been w/Stu + Pete Best:

chicago kevin, Thursday, 21 June 2007 09:19 (eighteen years ago)

actual beatle choice: george harrison. he was the coolest beatle.

that was my vote, actually. But I still say John was cooler.

kenan, Thursday, 21 June 2007 12:29 (eighteen years ago)

in a parallel universe stu and pete stayed in and the beatles went on to become an actual rock and roll band. unfortunately this means the movie caveman was never made.

El Tomboto, Thursday, 21 June 2007 13:48 (eighteen years ago)

ringo had the hottest ass wives and also was in the aforementioned caveman so it's causing me some second thoughts about who to vote for.

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Thursday, 21 June 2007 13:58 (eighteen years ago)

i would really enjoy slugging sir paul in his mouth

bb, Thursday, 21 June 2007 14:37 (eighteen years ago)

stu and pete stayed in and the beatles went on to become an actual rock and roll band.

"an actual rock and roll band" because they were mediocre players? ringo was a much better drummer than pete best. it's like saying the who would have been an actual rock and roll band if they'd had some "teddy boy" as the drummer who barely knew how to play instead of keith moon.

Tim Ellison, Thursday, 21 June 2007 15:06 (eighteen years ago)

he's just saying they looked a whole lot cooler back then, jesus tim.

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Thursday, 21 June 2007 15:08 (eighteen years ago)

the thing is the skinny suits are cooler than the leather jackets

ghost rider, Thursday, 21 June 2007 15:11 (eighteen years ago)

but were the skinny suits "actual rock and rolllllll???"

Tim Ellison, Thursday, 21 June 2007 15:12 (eighteen years ago)

yes

ghost rider, Thursday, 21 June 2007 15:13 (eighteen years ago)

i mean we all know how much tom loves that old time rock and roll

ghost rider, Thursday, 21 June 2007 15:15 (eighteen years ago)

my mom just called me (her birthday) from Amoeba in LA. she was backstage with just Nic H@rtc0urt (her boss) and sir Paul McCartney.

PAUL MCCARTNEY JUST SANG MY MOM HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

jaxon, Thursday, 28 June 2007 02:58 (eighteen years ago)

Curt1s Stephens, Thursday, 28 June 2007 03:01 (eighteen years ago)

sanskrit, Thursday, 28 June 2007 03:14 (eighteen years ago)

for all i know that could be a john song

sanskrit, Thursday, 28 June 2007 03:14 (eighteen years ago)

one time my mom called on my birthday and sang all of "in da club" into my voice mail

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Thursday, 28 June 2007 05:49 (eighteen years ago)

anyway the cooler thing isn't about how they dressed which is basically whatever, it's that it is an inarguable fact that stu and pete are way cooler looking dudes than paul.

ringo tho is ultimate gangsta.

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Thursday, 28 June 2007 05:50 (eighteen years ago)
