It is being reported that there are black outs in parts of the Bronx and the UES affecting some subways. The MTA site says:

Following a Power dip affecting our signals on the East Side of Manhattan and portions of the Bronx, we now have signal power, allowing us to operate trains safely.

Service on many trains is returning but with extensive delays. Passengers are advised to allow for extra time and if possible, stagger their commute home.

We apologize for the unavoidable delays in service

yeah linds i heard about the m3t being evacuated and was like 'damn she would have gotten out of work early but she's not there!" or maybe not being at work at all is like, 30000 times better.

Transportation is greatly affected by power outages mostly on the East Side of Manhattan - i.e.

Subway lines: E, V, D, 4, 5, 6 and parts of MetroNorth

The power outage appears to cover 77th Street to 110th Street and 144th Street to 177th Street on the East Side.
