― elmo argonaut, Thursday, 5 July 2007 16:30 (seventeen years ago)
these nicknames all kinda suck
"FX" might be alright if it wasn't the name of a fucking cable syndication network

haha i was going to start a thread like this once
i was given the nickname "Bodies" by this one dude I patrolled with (ref. to my former employment). He was the only person that called me this, and it always sounded a little forced.
― river wolf, Thursday, 5 July 2007 16:41 (seventeen years ago)
i know someone called FX! he is francophone/bilingual and that is what everyone calls him
ian's list is making me laugh big time
― rrrobyn, Thursday, 5 July 2007 16:43 (seventeen years ago)

my dad has an arsenal of really dumb, infantile nicknames for me that i shall never divulge, but that he will still use on occasion
― elmo argonaut, Thursday, 5 July 2007 17:42 (seventeen years ago)

― jaxon, Thursday, 5 July 2007 18:44 (seventeen years ago)
i went to college with one guy who consistantly called me BISCUITS because:
gr80 = gravy = biscuits n' gravy.
he tried so hard to get it to stick and he was always the only one to use it.
i just got back in touch with a friend i hadn't spoken to in a few years and she said "oh, i saw sc0tt recently. he said if i ever talk to you i'm supposed to call you BISCUITS."
BROHEEM NEEDS TO: LET. GO.

I was called "Skippy" from 7th to 9th grade.
My brother and my friend Ellison call me "Bacon Boy".
My sis calls me boo.
My dad calls me "Zanzibar"
― latebloomer, Friday, 6 July 2007 04:08 (seventeen years ago)
$LASTNAME = first part of sk0wlyfield
thus, General Tso's chicken ----> General $LASTNAME's chicken ----> The General

got it. besides my given names, i've accumulated the following litany of nicknames, some embarrassing and some not: rump, j.c., bean, beanbag, j3r, j3r-bear, black stallion (that was in seventh grade, because of a knee injury), rems, sport, and guppy. there are others on another thread, somewhere.

monster is an actual IRL nickname I acquired from my freshman - junior year roommates due to the noises I allegedly make in my sleep (not snoring, NOISES).
― jessie monster, Friday, 6 July 2007 13:14 (seventeen years ago)
Laurelita. And uh...no, that's it. I have not, historically, been friends with the kind of people who make up nicknames for each other.
― Laurel, Friday, 6 July 2007 13:28 (seventeen years ago)
i don't think anyone's ever given me a nickname?
