when i was vegan, i really i liked the soya kaas fake american cheese or mozzarella slices. you don't want to eat them plain out of the wrapper, but they're good in a sandwich melt. there's also a shredded fake cheese that comes in a green resealable bag (i forget the brand). it's fantastic for quesadillas and pizza, but only get the monterrey jack or mozzarella kind. the orange kind doesn't melt and tastes like chalk.
