that was a good time. i couldn't hear for months. good thing about never going anywhere is that you remember when you did go somewhere much more fiercely. it's more of a treat. i dined out on that seattle trip for months. if i went somewhere every week i would forget where i was.

its good but theres not really any reason for everyone to be so fascinated by it except for maybe the funny rhyming name and the weird hole in the wall location and the tasty fried chicken mac n cheese and pies... oh wait

yeah no reason to be fascinated other than it's the best bbq in nyc for the price, and unlike most bbq in nyc it's not completely pretentious and overpriced and bullshit. it's just cheap-ass southern food the way it should be.

if people wanna do dinner, i'd say 8, maybe earlier. could meet y'all there.

Small portions of pulled pork are about right for me. So good, but always a walk on the razor's edge between ecstasy and dyspepsia.

only time i've been there i had the seafood gumbo, which was pretty great, but not amazing. def. need to go back to qh again soon.

as you likely know, they change the menu a lot so if i'd look online to see if they have a website with it posted to avoid disappointment

maria's sister and brother-in-law took us to this restaurant called PRUNE tonight around the corner from their place. sooooooooooooo good. not too fancy. casual and simple, but so yummy and fresh. pork shoulder with salsa verde. oh man so good. definitely chowhound territory i guess, but just such a great dinner. and definitely nothing like it at home.

such a great time all around. maria snuck out to see the serra at moma while i stayed home recuperating before dinner reading metal mags.

thanks again, you guys! we will be back for sure. tomorrow morning we head home to the rock.
