― mayo apetrain (mayoape), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 14:49 (twenty-two years ago)

shit... at least your angst wasn't brought to you by budweiser!

my high school list would have such lowish points as:

bad ii
blind melon
alice in chains
nine in nails
soundgarden
rem

and not that i'm above those bands anymore either... but... for some reason in high school i replaced my preteen hardcore sk8 punkness and rap love for alterna grunge... i bit the worm hook, line, and sinker...

there are other things i listened to that are a bit more credseeker approved ... hehe... let's not even go towards the industrial/techno stuff i liked but...

― msp (msp), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 17:24 (twenty-two years ago)

well, my list tactfully omits an unhealthy adherance to cure (three imaginary boys & boys dont cry were summer of '87 heavy rotation), joy division (who I can still listen to), smiths and tones on tail.

and such lame, lame, lame-assed Cali losers as the circle jerks and social distortion. ugh, the shame.

― mayo apetrain (mayoape), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 17:40 (twenty-two years ago)

haha! see, i'd cite the circle jerks as a good thing! (i was into that sort of thing cause it was fast to skate to.)

― msp (msp), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 17:44 (twenty-two years ago)

i was gonna say, social d circa "1941" is awesome skate music. that was on one of the early poshboy comps pre-high school heavy rotation.

― gygax! (gygax!), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 18:22 (twenty-two years ago)
