I prefer leather couches over the dull printed couch I have. It's ghastly. But comfy. Also do leather couches *work* with doggies? Lucy loves to be on our couch and I doubt I could tolerate her being on a leather one...

Leather couches work great w/ doggies if you don't mind them getting gradually scratched and broken in -- and they're really good quality to begin with. Have a feeling leather furniture is best 50 yrs later.
