i met this dude a while back, he was like 9 ft tall and spoke ... very ... slowly. he's really skinny and has a very deep voice. actually he sorta looked like a cross between raul julia and the giant from twin peaks. i thought he was kinda strange.

anyway later i found out that he's a world expert on research on molecular theraputics for epithelial growth and carcinogenesis ... he does big deal research on curing epidermolysis bullosa and lamellar ichthyosis ... look those up if you want real nightmarish kinda stuff

i sorta get the same metallic taste in my mouth, but in a way i think it helps to keep looking at this stuff until it normalizes.

i worked with a guy who had neurofibromatosis about ten years ago. he was 70something, had retired but had nothing to do all day, so came back into work in the finance of the hospital i worked at. he also had cancer, and a false hand that had a habit of falling to the ground with a metallic clunk. i can't even begin to imagine the courage someone like him would need to face the day.

i can't look at that first image. i click on the link and hit page down as fast as i can.
