So Percussion, the �astonishing and entrancing" (Billboard) New York City-based quartet of twenty-something percussionists has revolutionized drumming by mastering the canon of modern music, commissioning works by contemporary composers, and incorporating emerging technologies into their sound. The ensemble presents the World premiere of Martin Bresnick�s new composition with special guest pianist Lisa Moore; the United States premiere of Arvo P�rt's Fratres for Percussion; and the New York premiere of a new acoustic work by computer music pioneer Paul Lansky.

i once saw a program of artist videos at collective unconscious and the drum buddy ad was one of them. it killed, people were crying with tears of laughter, it was such a demented video. and at the time no one could tell if the product was real or not.

The drum buddy is cool because its a SEQUENCER.

i went to the drum buddy page and read about it and was all "holy shit!", but then i listened to the samples and it doesn't actually sound that cool :(

i also saw him play w/the oblivians at the blackout in 2006. awesome set. sweatiest show i've ever been to.

amy went back to north carolina this weekend to see her mom and rs/b-lips were playing a couple hours away so she went and sent me pictures all night. greg has a big assed beard right now.

So, the Cave van broke down in Stamford, CT. Colin from USA is a Monster was kind enough to pick up their gear and asses and bring them into the city. The show at Death by Audio is still on for tonight. They are very broke but are ready to throw down. The show is with La Otracina.
