A Kid's Review
My school has this computer game and I find it AWESOME.When we are told to play it, everyone goes "yes!". When you have trouble solving a problem, it shows you how to do it step by step, or you can use the built in calculator. You are a green charactor in a "spooky" mansion, where math awaits you in traps(complete the problem and get out of the trap) and in your missions. Yeah, it's cool.I am in 5th grade.

tehresa, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 23:58 (seventeen years ago) link

Curt1s Stephens, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 23:59 (seventeen years ago) link

How is curtis old enough to use an apple2? Really bad school system?

JW, Wednesday, 28 February 2007 17:44 (seventeen years ago) link

1st grade = 1994

Curt1s Stephens, Wednesday, 28 February 2007 20:34 (seventeen years ago) link

My school was done with apple ][ by 1990.

first grade = 1989

JW, Wednesday, 28 February 2007 20:42 (seventeen years ago) link

We had Macs too I think - definitely did later - but there wz still an Apple II lab. I think the comp on which I played Word Munchers was in the classroom.

West Coast Computer Faire in 1977, the Apple II was one of the very first and most successful personal computers. A number of different models were sold, and the most popular model was manufactured with relatively minor changes into the 1990s. By the end of its production in 1993, somewhere between five and six million Apple II series computers (including approximately 1.25 million Apple IIgs models) had been produced.

Throughout the 1980s and much of the 1990s, the Apple II was the de facto standard computer in American education; some of them are still operational in classrooms today.

sixteen years pass...

Last time I was here they doused my Capp with cinnamon so this time I Asked the barista to hold it. Something got mixed up with the order and it arrived covered in it anyway. “Sorry, I asked for no cinnamon” I said. Barista was annoyed and said “that’s cocoa.”
