MY SISTER BOUGHT LIKE TEN OF THEM
i give it an A- cos it needs a little more bacon and less sea salt

bell_labs, Monday, 24 December 2007 02:32 (seventeen years ago)

just go straight for the dark chocolate dipped bacon, dude.

ian, Monday, 24 December 2007 02:35 (seventeen years ago)

yeah that would be a lot better actually.

bell_labs, Monday, 24 December 2007 02:37 (seventeen years ago)

this is a waste of perfectly good bacon

dammit

mookieproof, Monday, 24 December 2007 02:47 (seventeen years ago)

oh, hey, mookie..
i just realized i left some bacon in my fridge. i meant to eat it before leaving town.
you want it?

ian, Monday, 24 December 2007 02:50 (seventeen years ago)

uh...kind of.

mrs mookie is making an appetizer involving bacon for an xmas eve party tomorrow, so i'll be okay. thanks, though!

mookieproof, Monday, 24 December 2007 04:24 (seventeen years ago)

is that real?

i am a big fan of woolloomooloo, barcelona and naga bars. i always keep 2-3 in the fridge at all times.

moonship journey to baja, Monday, 24 December 2007 06:18 (seventeen years ago)

I kinda know (by proxy) the woman who runs this thing; she made a CD of music to eat your chocolate by and I quote:
"The shop's latest "sensory journey in chocolate" explores the African-American influence on American music. An enclosed booklet delves into field songs of the 1600s and goes on to explore jazz, blues, funk, soul and hip-hop and a corresponding CD spins a track from each genre. Each song is complemented by a truffle that contains era-appropriate ingredients; the Rhythm and Blues Truffle is spliced with Jack Daniels, dark chocolate and sugarcane powder while the Hip Hop Truffle is laced with Krug champagne, white chocolate and edible gold leaf."
I'm pretty sure I can't get with this.

forksclovetofu, Monday, 24 December 2007 10:12 (seventeen years ago)

the Middle Passage truffle was kind of a letdown.

sanskrit, Monday, 24 December 2007 14:53 (seventeen years ago)

get bent, Monday, 24 December 2007 17:55 (seventeen years ago)

moonship journey to baja, Monday, 24 December 2007 20:00 (seventeen years ago)

moonship journey to baja, Monday, 24 December 2007 20:04 (seventeen years ago)

and what, Monday, 24 December 2007 21:58 (seventeen years ago)

I can hardly bitch out my own fantastic bacon-wrapped shrimp recipe but when you get right down to the hard solemn truths of this universe bacon really is best enjoyed a cappella

El Tomboto, Monday, 24 December 2007 22:06 (seventeen years ago)

stoned, smug, and with a liberal arts degree?

remy bean, Monday, 24 December 2007 22:10 (seventeen years ago)

i think we are having bacon-wrapped scallops tomorrow!

bell_labs, Monday, 24 December 2007 22:13 (seventeen years ago)

I like my bacon on the medium-rare side so I prefer shrimp, they cook through fast enough so that the bacon doesn't lose that crucial nutrient known as PIGGY GREASY FAT MMMMM.

El Tomboto, Monday, 24 December 2007 22:19 (seventeen years ago)

for dinner tomorrow i am roasting a pork loin with cardamom-pomegranate sauce and bacon lardon/currant dressing

remy bean, Monday, 24 December 2007 22:47 (seventeen years ago)

too many ingredients
why is pork roasts so awful that everybody has to put like 400 wacky things on them when pig's tummy meat is so delicious it is the best food in the world all by itself?

El Tomboto, Monday, 24 December 2007 22:50 (seventeen years ago)

BE MORE CONSISTENT, HOGS

El Tomboto, Monday, 24 December 2007 22:51 (seventeen years ago)

i had pork belly slow-cooked for six hours at a japanese place on ian's bday and it was amazzzzing and melty

bell_labs, Monday, 24 December 2007 22:53 (seventeen years ago)

yeah pig muscle is pretty disappointing
it's all about the flab flab

El Tomboto, Monday, 24 December 2007 22:55 (seventeen years ago)

moonship journey to baja, Monday, 24 December 2007 23:02 (seventeen years ago)
