POT CULTURE: The A-Z Guide to Stoner Language & Life (Abrams Image;
April 20, 2008, $19.95), the first comprehensive guide for the devoted
smoker and occasional toker, is everything you ever wanted to know
about marijuana but were too stoned to ask.

A multi-generational encyclopedia that lists more than 500 people,
places, words and slang phrases (from "Acapulco Gold" to "zooted"),
POT
CULTURE is also a how-to guide, an atlas, a book of manners, a cultural
manifesto, a cookbook, and a cross-referenced history lesson on the
world of weed.

Dazed & Confused, the Harold & Kumar franchise, Dr. Dre's The Chronic
... from movies to music to TV, marijuana has permeated American
culture like never before. POT CULTURE, with its hundreds of photos and
illustrations, maps and charts, sidebars and first-person accounts,
dazzles and informs, educates and entertains about a subject that's
gone from taboo to practically mainstream.

POT CULTURE also brings you closer to the high-life of celebrity
stoners, with facts, quotes, and photos of the famous (Jack Black,
Matthew McConaughey, Dave Chappelle) and the legendary (Bob Marley,
Willie Nelson), as well as contributions by Fall Out Boy's Joe Trohman,
Matchbox Twenty's Rob Thomas, Maroon 5's Adam Levine, Superbad star
Jonah Hill, America's Next Top Model winner Adrianne Curry, and many
more.

Today's medical-marijuana movement comes to life in profiles of its
major players, a display of "Medical Edibles," and an in-depth
interview with singer Melissa Etheridge, who, for the first time,
discusses her personal experience using marijuana to combat breast
cancer. POT CULTURE also chronicles marijuana prohibition from the
1930s to present times, identifying activists and iconic figures in the
cannabis legalization and counterculture communities with biographical
sketches throughout the book.

Guaranteed to keep you flipping from page to page for hours, it's the
perfect gift for the college student, the baby boomer, and anyone with
an eye to contemporary society. But most important, POT CULTURE is a
must-have for any self-respecting stoner.
