describe your abduction by aliens

so i am lying on my bed, which is a quite low queen-size (the mattress top is only 16 inches off the floor) hybrid futon. there is a very large and low window above my bed that starts only about a foot above my bed and runs about seven feet along the wall parallel to my bed.

i wake up, it must be around 4 am. there is blinding light shining through the windows, so bright i can't see anything but light. the walls of my room are bare white plaster, as is the ceiling, and the floors are white tile, so the overall effect is rather blinding. and then my bed floats up off of the ground about three feet and moves to the center of the room. i look at the ceiling, and then when i look back at my feet my bed is surrounded by men in pinstriped business suits. they're all wearing black rubber gloves and they're wearing rubber masks of US presidents. carter, ford, nixon, reagan, JFK and clinton. they take positions around my bed and there's a blinding flash of light.

i find myself in the patio of a hotel. there are tables w/ sun umbrellas and chairs. nobody is around. i think it is a few minutes before dawn. i can't hear any crickets or see any people. the air seems very thick and muggy. i walk toward the hotel bar and i go inside. the hotel is empty and dead quiet, like the hotel in the shining. i see two people at the counter. i walk to the counter, there's a guy who's face i can't make out and my mother. i ask her where i am and she tells me that i'm there already. just like that, "you're there already".

suddenly, i find myself on top of a parking structure in downtown. the light is slanting in at an extremely odd angle. from the angle of the shadows it must be sunset but from the brightness of everything it seems to be sunrise (i can't tell). downtown is DESERTED. i can't hear a peep or see any movement anywhere, no cars or people. the sky is unusually vivid blue and the light is very reddish. my mom takes my hand and leads me to an elevator. we step inside the elevator which is like a cage elevator and it drops really fast and for a second all i can see are metal girders and bars and strange shadows moving really fast.

then we're inside a department store. we're in the section that sells mattresses and bedding. there's no light except for an extremely bright like about 100 feet away. as we walk toward it, i see people wearing all-white jumpsuits and dark goggles sitting on the beds, looking at the light source. i'm having to hold up my hands to my eyes to shield my vision from this thing. we get to about twenty feet away from it and my mom tells me to sit down on the edge of a mattress. there's probably about fifty people around us also sitting on mattresses or standing. they're all wearing dark goggles, like welders.

at this point, two dudes in white jumpsuits and welding goggles come around the corner with a cart. on the cart is a huge glass box with a door. they push the cart to the light source, which is some sort of cylinder, about the size of a coffin, that's spinning and glowing. i can't tell what if anything is inside the cylinder but i can tell that some more complicated motion is going on inside. maybe some sort of clockwork, like a grandfather clock? yeah, that's it, it's like a cross between a clockwork machine and a supernova.

suddenly my view of this thing is blocked by an elderly asian woman (also wearing a jumpsuit) who walks up in front of me. she holds up her hands and i see she's wearing something like silver kitchen mitts. she's also wearing booties and a hairnet, like people who work in semiconductor factories. she smiles and i see that she's got no teeth. she says to me "we're already on our way, we're going to get there, but it's going to take a lot more [energy] before we can get up to [speed]". i put those words in brackets because i'm not sure exactly what she said but that was the concept.

then i looked away from her because the brilliant light from the clockwork thing was creating a glowing corona around her head that i didn't like and i was seeing weird afterimages from not having eye protection. i lay back on the mattress and looked at the ceiling and the afterimage on my retina when i looked at the white ceiling was the american flag, except in black and green and purple.

then i was in my bedroom again, floating off the ground with the US president mask things standing around my bed. there was still bright light from the window and they were giggling and whispering behind the masks. then i woke up and it was around 7 am in the morning.

i think the guys with the glass box were starting to put the cylinder thing into the box but i couldn't tell because the woman was blocking my view.

also there was an impression of running down a concrete tunnel that was damp and dripping with condensation. there was no light in the tunnel but i could see light at both ends of the tunnel. this was either before or after the hotel patio but i'm not sure anymore which it was.

I had some crazy dreams about aliens in the nineties, but part of me wrote it off as being crazy shit influenced by popular culture of the time...but some of the dreams were freaky enough to the point where I felt creepy shivers running through my body for at least a couple of minutes after waking up.

dell, Monday, 18 February 2008 04:55 (seventeen years ago)

In the mid-eighties I had a dream in which a strong wind blew threw my front yard, like as if there were a helicopter landing. In that dream, my mother and I walked out into our front yard and saw a spacecraft landing, and some classic "grey" entities, in front of their vehicle.

Again, I'm not sure how much of this was influenced by too much late night television-watching, or whether it was some metaphor for some other crazy shit interpolating upon my life at the time, but at any rate, it was convincing enough that at some point over the next few days I tried to draw a picture of the aliens that I saw in the dream...

dell, Monday, 18 February 2008 05:05 (seventeen years ago)

hands up if between the ages of 3 and 6 you had dreams about glowing owls watching you through the window at night

moonship journey to baja, Monday, 18 February 2008 05:08 (seventeen years ago)

I don't think I have the original drawing, but, for what it's worth, it was one of the most vivid dreams that I've ever had.

dell, Monday, 18 February 2008 05:08 (seventeen years ago)

Ha, no, but, if you're serious, isn't that some classic shamanic initiation?

dell, Monday, 18 February 2008 05:09 (seventeen years ago)

either that or i was molested by a sports mascot

;_;

moonship journey to baja, Monday, 18 February 2008 05:10 (seventeen years ago)

No, I know someone who had experiences like that. I dunno...

I just mean, the dreams that I recounted could be explained by taking in the cover of "Communion" or something...but this person had persistent experiences to that effect. Also, FSA just came up on my iTunes while posting this shit, so wtf

dell, Monday, 18 February 2008 05:13 (seventeen years ago)

I'm sorry, "this person" was not me, but my friend's sister.

dell, Monday, 18 February 2008 05:21 (seventeen years ago)

Also, I've had plenty of experiences where I've woken up from dreams and seen lots of persistent things happening on my retinas or whatever, but I wrote them off as being my serotonin or whatever being overactive.

What freaked me out about all of my "alien" dreams was the sense that I was being beckoned to follow some whooooosh stream which I was scared to follow up on at the time. Maybe if I had experimented more with DMT or something, I would have been more willing to follow up?

dell, Monday, 18 February 2008 05:30 (seventeen years ago)

i imagine that if you did go with the aliens, long after their curiosity was satisfied you would still be telling them factoids about yourself.

latebloomer, Monday, 18 February 2008 10:01 (seventeen years ago)

sorry to say never had any of these experiences ever. no waking dreams, hallucinations or any other scary shit either.

latebloomer, Monday, 18 February 2008 10:08 (seventeen years ago)

these kinds of things are surprisingly common and bizarrely consistent in their motifs...not just alien abduction stuff...a friend of mine's grandmother had an experience in the 40's where a "green witch" came out of her closet and sat on her chest and then vanished. of course that's a classic example of the famous "old hag" phenomenon. funny how the brain always interprets it as an evil female or witch-like presence.

people on dmt supposedly see insect beings a lot (anyone here done it?). big overlap between dmt visions and ufo imagery. dmt also naturally occurs in the brain.

latebloomer, Monday, 18 February 2008 10:15 (seventeen years ago)

I've had sleep paralysis experiences, but they never involved aliens and were all pretty boring.
