I never did meet Adam's mother, but I did meet his brother.

lol @ people who are all like "yeah, I don't know which version is better, the Byrds' or Husker Du's"

Tim Ellison (Tim Ellison), Friday, 25 August 2006 01:26 (nineteen years ago)

steve, was adam's brother as british as adam??

genital hyphys (haitch), Friday, 25 August 2006 01:28 (nineteen years ago)

Tim, I like both! I think they both have their own merits (I'm talking about HD's single/studio version of 8 miles high of course). There IS some choice psych-jam 10 minute footage on youtube of The Byrds doing "8 Miles High" but it's a stretch to actually call it that as this jam is VERRRRRY loose and "out".

anne haitch,
Adam's brother was entirely more british than Adam. He couldn't understand a word I said, it was pretty great.

You do tend to speak mostly in Japanese, fwiw.

cousin larry bundgee (bundgee), Friday, 25 August 2006 01:56 (nineteen years ago)

Husker Du's "Eight Miles High" single was an OK record but you know what I'm sayin'.

Some have argued that it was the first emo record, which is why I linked that (21+ year old) live performance clip on THIS thread.

"imo" (ˆð or "‚¢‚à") means potato, which Bob Mould is shaped like.

Not any more, he drinks tea and pumps iron.
