Yo-yo pogs. Think about a good toy while playing with a shitty one:

In 2006 Funrise Toy Corp. relaunched their brand of Pogs. So Imperial Toy Corp. decided to revive "Slammer Whammers", the motive behind this move was if Pogs become popular again like in 1994, Imperial Toy Corp. would be ready with their product in the marketplace.

my favorite pog as a kid was one depicting a red skull with 80's heavy metal hair, the caption underneath reading: "NO DRUGS"

Oh man I was so disappointed to discover that I'd misread this thread title. ;_;

i couldn't find any "pug pogs" but this would be cool on a pog:

what were those giant rubber slammers? hammer slammers?

don cab for cutie (Future_Perfect), Friday, 28 May 2010 16:25 (fourteen years ago)

the idea of pogs was so much better than actually playing pogs

iatee, Friday, 28 May 2010 16:25 (fourteen years ago)

haha, totally. i still stan for the idea of pogs! there's just no way around the fact that it is a very substandard game. either the top one or two would flip over, or the entire stack would. so the only possible outcomes were 1) disappointment that the round was anti-climactic, 2) disappointment over losing a bunch of your pogs, or 3) disappointment that you just inherited a grip of some loser's ugly pogs which means you're that much closer to having to buy another plastic tube to keep them in

pogs are the parkour of sedentary games

iiiijjjj, Friday, 28 May 2010 16:58 (fourteen years ago)

iatee, Friday, 28 May 2010 16:59 (fourteen years ago)

similarly I would watch a pog greatest battles montage on youtube

iatee, Friday, 28 May 2010 17:00 (fourteen years ago)

yup, we had a lot of pogs and some pretty cool slammers but never any desire to play the game
