Schoolly: He was filming King of New York and somebody gave him my Saturday night tape. And he flipped. So he called up Jive. That was about the time I was doing Am I black enough for you?, so they sent him that tape. He took "Am I black enough for you?" and "Saturday night" and put ‘em on the movie. By the time he did that, I was on Capitol. So that’s when I met him, he did the video for "King of New York". We all bullshitted our way into that. Cuz they wanted to do a video for "Saturday night" (at the time an 8-year-old song). And I was like "oh, but I just wrote this song called "King of New York", lying my ass off. But that’s the nature of this business. You gotta roll with it.
