Google Reader retention is scary! I generally use a desktop reader - once in a while I'll import my feeds into Google Reader just to see if the interface has changed/improved. So I tried it today and was shocked to find that one of my feeds - which was a personalized dynamic feed which absolutely zero other people would looked at, and also was for a defunct site that went down a few months ago - had long deleted entries from 2006!
Bear in mind this was from a completely wiped slate since the last time I tried this which was probably last year - I was importing these subscriptions into a blank account. But apparently google has kept these old entries in the database the whole time, which is crazy.

ok is there a way to turn off the "like" thingsI especially hate the fact that when you click on "Like" to register your "Like" of an article, the button changes to - wait for it - "Unlike."
