1a. new sushi in the usa = seeing trends toward sustainable bio-ethical farms like kindai honmaguro (blue fin tuna), experimental techniques from kinki university out of osaka. met with the distributor for the usa a few times and things are really expanding for him. maybe like a guilt-free blue fin strain?

1b. there is really nothing new with blue jeans over the past 40-50 years except for a vintage resurgence over the past 10 years. The reality that manufacturing and quality were greatest at a time when technology was rather simple and archaic. And there are now many, many brands who are paying tribute to that ideal. I really like the jeans that Paul Smith commissioned about 5-6 years ago. Those are probably my favorite jeans of the past decade.

2. i actually had no fantasy teams this year for the first time in a very long time. for the majority of the baseball season, i was in pretty remote parts of the world with little to no access to internet browsing. not sure if i'll be up for a league this year, my cycling teammates do a UCI based fantasy league for both team and individuals that they're super into, i can see myself getting into that.
