I feel like a lot of the people in these bands are nice, down-to-earth, hard-working people. I don't know if Harvey Danger are still around, but it's nice that they were able to make a bit of a splash in the music biz and even get some radio play. good for them.

the desert wolves are ok
I think the drummer from semisonic even wrote a whole book about how ok they were. And he did ok, financially, and his experience was ok. And I heard him interviewed on the radio about it, and he was ok.

I think Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass are ok. I wouldn't turn it off if you put it on.
Semisonic always did have a competent rhythm section, iirc. I wasn't really wondering about the drummer, but I'm glad he made out alright.

when i first moved to chicago, i put an ad up on craigslist looking for people to play music with, and this guy wrote back and said "i'm already in a band and can't be in another band but just wanted to write to say that your ad is cool and i hope you are able to find people to play with" and he told me a little about the band he was in, then later i found out he had been the drummer in harvey danger. he was a nice guy to write me that email. so i can verify that harvey danger is ok.
