I saw them too, in a loft space. I liked their singles ok, but they weren't very good live. I did buy a T-shirt, though! They were only asking $5 for 'em, so what the heck.

they were on tour in the states, tho sans the guitar player who is afraid of flying. Bob from Pavement was their tour manager. They played at Uncle Pleasants with the Frumpies (I think?) and the far-better-than-any-other-band-on-the-bill Drinking Woman.

yeah, we probably saw the same tour -- the Frumpies, that sounds familiar. Also that guitar player missing thing sounds familiar, perhaps that's why their set didn't seem so hot.
