After countless years of introspection and self-observation, I have come to the conclusion that I must be a philosophical zombie. I live, breathe, think, act just as you do. But I am missing that which grants me conscious experience.
Obviously my being a self-aware philosophical zombie makes me an interesting object of philosophical study. If you have any questions for me concerning my experiences (or lack thereof), please ask them here.

what motivation would a philosophical zombie have for introspection and self-observation?

Heave Ho,
I may not have true conscious experience, but I do have a brain, and I put it to good use. "Motivation" is not something that is tied to consciousness; it is a chemically driven process in the brain that may have manifest effects on the consciousness, but it is ultimately no different from our other neural patterns in terms of its mechanical and behavioral function.

when they show Resident Evil 2 on cable they replace every instance of the word "motherfucker" with "motivator."
