i really _really_ hate raccoons actually and yes i am afraid of them but--not without good reason! we once heard two raccoons fighting in a tree (mother raccoon defending baby raccoons from male raccoon) and seriously it sounded like torture. i shudder at the mere thought. also when i was a child my neighbours' cats were murdered by a raccoon (entered through the cat door) while they were on vacation. they returned home to find their walls and floors covered in blood, their cats splayed across multiple rooms, and a raccoon hissing and spitting at them in a corner of their living room. raccoons are NOT okay! don't be fooled!

WHY HAVEN'T I THOUGHT OF THIS BEORE?

i freaked out yesterday because my turtles toes turned pink but then i found out that its because he got too comfy basking in the sun and didn't move enough and the blood pooled in the toes, no biggie. toes look normal today.
