feels like a workable premise for an independent dark comedy film imo

An open world RPG where you play a hot shot gambler who goes around the city playing for money. It's pretty much like the side missions in Red Dead Redemption where you play poker etc, except gambling is the main aim of the game. There's probably a story with a love interest and card cheats and crooked casino owners etc,but very little in terms of violent action moments, it's all in how you play your cards
Actually this is not a terrible idea at all and I would play this

with some friends recently and staved off our starving kids by tossing them an unopened package of crackers which someone referred to as a 'sleeve of ritz' and it got compared to 'slivovitz' which led to the concept of some sort of delicacy where plum brandy is injected into sealed tubes of ritz crackers and left to macerate until a boozy gelatinous paste forms.
We pictured an overly earnest 2010 charcuterie provisions restaurant with a tattooed mustachioed person lovingly preparing grey tubes of slivovitz sleeves-of-ritz to hang and age in their brooklyn/portland storefront

a documentary detailing the history of the "check engine" light. we slowly learn that nobody knows where it came from -- it just began to show up in cars one day. and nobody knows what it means. mechanics fix it by calling a phone number. on the other end, a voice demands a task be carried out or a sacrifice in exchange for turning off the light.

A television dramedy titled "Shy Barabbas". Barabbas is shy and finds the loneliness excruciating. But he just can't work up the courage to make new friends. As a fed up adult, he finally makes an attempt, posting fliers around town. The fliers describe Barabbas' interests and promote a meeting of likeminded individuals. At the meeting, Barabbas is arrested by the Romans and sentenced to death as an insurrectionist. On Passover, Barabbas is overwhelmed by the support from a massive crowd, begging Pontius Pilate to free him. "We want Barabbas!" It's happening. They must have read his flier, and now Barabbas has found his friends. After he is freed and despite the recent frenzied chanting for his release, nobody from the crowd pays him any attention. They aren't so interested in Barabbas -- they really just wanted to murder Christ. Suppose this thing would run on AMC or something.
