And here I was thinking she was mocking D Byrne's "facts" monologue in "Crosseyed and Painless"
In fact, I think I just assumed that most of Tom Tom Club's lyrics were about D Byrne.

In my sophomore year of college (fall '93) my best friend and I used to jam a used cassette copy in my car. We wrote this script in which "Wordy Rappinghood" and "Lorelei" played prominently, congratulating ourselves on their obscurity.

Then came Mariah Carey two years later.
