Oh my GOD my fucking alarm clock didn't go off, and I woke up EXACTLY when my first class of junior year started. UGGGHHHhhg but when I got there, I saw this pleasant kid I'd met a year ago, a kid whom, last year, shared mutual friends and I saw all the time, a kid who I lived with freshman year and haven't seen since, and a very nice girl I just met at a block party on Sunday; both of us were walking back towards the same place so we had a nice 20-minute chat, which would have been much nicer if I'd had time to shower/brush my teeth before class. Luckily it's only 12:30 and I've 2 left, and a solid 40 min to freshen up. More later.

So last night, all my housemates and I got a bottle of Finlandia and 4pak of Red Bull (I had 2 cans with 2 shots each and a lot more shots otherwise), and we played drunken Cranium (a favorite pasttime of ours from last year), and then danced and watched Empire Records and had an extremely fun time. I'm very excited about this year; I really think it's going to be a very good one. Unfortunately, going to bed drunk at 6 and waking up at 10:30 for class (only one on Friday!!) does not leave one in the freshest of states, and I went to class yucky and hungover. Luckily it wore off within 2 hours, and I checked my email to find that they're very likely adding another section to the Video art class I'd wanted to take!! Which makes sense, considering FIVE people dragged their asses out of bed at 8 am to a building half a mile from anything else on campus, just to ask for (and be denied) a special permission number. I am very, very anticipatory. Rest of day was good; went to work for four hours, did Chinese homework, tried to add a different video class and failed (due to a conflict with a comm class that's only got 1 section this semester). Am going to house party later and should see a lot of cool people.

Involvement Fair today, where all the organizations on campus get tables and all the freshmen walk around and learn about shit. I was with both the campus radio station and an independent A/E newspaper, which luckily were RIGHT next to each other (out of the hundreds and hundreds of tables). It was very, very fun and I got to see a ton of friends and acquaintances. I'm going to a party tonight but can't drink, for I have to be awake at 7:00 for an 8:10 class (boo). Ecstatic about my Video class.

Things are bad/things are good. Just ordered a new 320gb USB2/FireWire/eSATA external HD for $100 for my video class, as well as the remainder of my books for the rest of my classes. I decided to spontaneously dye my hair blue on Saturday, and it's come out brown with noticeable green highlights. The comm service organization I've invested so much in since a year and a half ago is completely falling apart. Finally got refund check and will be able to pay rent on time until January, and will also be able to pay off part of my alarmingly high credit card bill.
