THIS IS THE THREAD WHERE WE SUM UP ILX CLUSTERFUCK THREADS SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO READ THEM.

barrymore, murdrewland (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 15 July 2009 11:18 (fifteen years ago)

i was thinking about the og thread the other day when that "how do you pronounce nike?" thread had like 866 new answers

barrymore, murdrewland (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 15 July 2009 11:18 (fifteen years ago)

well I'm married to a limping, crescent-shaped abortion (sarahel), Wednesday, 15 July 2009 11:19 (fifteen years ago)

N1ck (Upt0eleven), Wednesday, 15 July 2009 11:24 (fifteen years ago)

Nike thread: british pronounce things funny, semantics of pastries, semantics of faucets/taps, but how do you pronounce, actual linguistic info; post lengths - relatively short

anyway, MJ threads are generally - He was pretty good, he wasn't that good, no- the stuff everyone knows and loves wasn't that good but his obscure stuff from 1993 is pretty great, here's a joke about him oh that's bad taste, his nose wasn't real but when can we get a boxset kthanx.

Yes, thanks. You could put that one post in a petri dish and clone the whole of ILX.

classic Wu-Tang solo run poll ???

there's a mod request thread in re this thread - there's gotta be something going on here besides people arguing about a band

sarahel, Friday, 15 October 2010 20:06 (fourteen years ago)

it's turned into another deej takes on the whole of ilx thread, pretty fun to watch, altho i can say that it's completely aggravating if you're actually participating in the argument

I don't know much about rap, but I was following parts of the thread until it totally spiraled out of control

major lol at tunecicles - it reminds me of when Alex Bennett used to host the morning show on Live 105 back in the mid 80s and they were constantly talking about neuticles.

kanye thread? more?

sarahel, Thursday, 9 December 2010 22:47 (fourteen years ago)

awhile back i knowingly made a reference to a positive consensus 'in my world of young ppl' regarding cee lo's 'fuck you' being popular, especially relative to the controversial-ness on ilx/singles jukebox bubble that implied it was getting 'mixed reviews'. this was neither an endorsement nor dismissal of the song. al thought the phrase was funny & has been trolling me about it, whiney thought it was some kind of declaration about me being down with black people & took it seriously as me saying that my argument was more legit than other people's because i think i know what the kids today listen to, and he repeatedly brings it up in a misleading way. mad about the nonsense in the u.s. senate, i read his eye-rollingly off point arguments & lashed out, observing that glossy music mags have had shitty criticism since well before the arrival of blogs & implying that he may have had some hand in that.

* Why are rock music threads on ILM so boring? [Started by congratulations (n/a) in December 2010, last updated 25 seconds ago by phish in your sleazebag (contenderizer) on I Love Music] 454 new answers

2 percent "because rock music is boring"
2 percent "because people on ILM don't care about rock music"
96 percent "but what is rock music?"

why are there consistently thousands of new posts in the comedy poll results thread?

sarahell, Tuesday, 3 April 2012 01:59 (thirteen years ago)

Uh, because some of us don't have anything that might pass for "a life". Also, because of joeks, mostly.
