love v. "in love"

Welcome back!

I can not speak for the rest of my 1p3 constutuents, but I think that the definition of "in love" is certainly a very personal matter. I have considered myself in love only once! Some people definitely think "in love" = when you "fall for" a person (I think this is what you mean by "the passionate period of a romantic relationship"?)...that's a little too simple for me, though I've struggled with defining it any further for myself.

i have thought myself "in love" twice, but once it was with my high-school's most famously loose girl, and the other time with a junkie that lived next door. unless my love life is guided by a cruel, weird deity, i don't think i really know what "to be in love" is, but i certainly feel a nearly overhwelming amount oflove for my family, friends, students and pets.

Yeah, she asked. She's pretty new to even saying she I-love-you, so I'm not entirely sure where this comes from. We've been having problems anyway, so I wasn't feeling fuzzy when she asked.

Yeah, and really commitment phobic. Also: has anger issues, which is why I wasn't feeling fuzzy. Three nights ago I basically tried to break up with her because of her anger.

Anyway, since this is essentially the Bryce/Roxy thread, I will say here: today (for BM's birthday) I listened to that reggae mix ("Rude Boy Train") that I used to play 24 hours a day early last year, and I got a little nostalgic for those times. Even though they were mostly horrible. I miss you, a lot!

I got a best of Desmond Dekker record yesterday. Also listened to an unusual Dekker album on Stiff from 1980 that has some sped up versions of "Many Rivers to Cross" and "007."

What? That's not my point. I mean that the electric guitars sound sped up exactly like on a Les Paul album. And I also meant that you cannot tell if they are actually guitars or synthesizers. It's produced in an odd way.
